AFP is proud to present Iconoclaste, a photography exhibition and auction for art lovers and photography enthusiasts. This iconic event, now in its third year, will showcase 200 unique special-edition prints in an engaging auction, preceded by a captivating exhibition. The event will run from 29 September to 14 October 2023, at Quai de la Photo, the newly established floating art centre dedicated to contemporary photography, located in the heart of Paris. Following the success of previous editions, which primarily featured black and white images that explored historical themes and AFP's analogue archives, the autumn 2023 selection promises to be modern, thought-provoking, and colourful. John Wessels / AFP

The exhibition will include works by acclaimed photographers such as Yasuyoshi Chiba, known for capturing the essence of humanity. Yasuyoshi chiba / AFP

The auction, set to take place on 14 October at Quai de la Photo (9 Port de la Gare, 75013 Paris) from 2:00 PM, will be conducted by Elsa Joly-Malhomme from ADER Entreprises & Patrimoine, under the expert guidance of Antoine Romand. Bidders worldwide will also have the opportunity to participate online through drouot.com.
Proceeds from the auction will be dedicated to the restoration and preservation of AFP's remarkable photographic collection, which encompasses over 6 million analogue documents, including an extensive collection of 350,000 glass plates.
